This is a perfect movie for those who have some how drifted away from what they liked doing a lot. Morris Buttermaker, a former pro baseball player, was turned out from the game for as he had attacked an umpire and now works as an exterminator. He is boozing rather than playing Baseball. But Buttermaker is enticed back into the game by Liz Whitewood an attorney, whose suit has forced the Little League to absorb all the players without caring about their abilities. Some kind of transformation comes into the protagonist who is now the captain of this weakest team , and what he does next is worth watching.
