Amitabh Bachchan's  major success came in 1973, with Abhimaan and Zanjeer. Zanjeer portrayed Amitabh as the "angry young man" for the first time which would later on become a new style in itself. His appeal established from there on and the masses began to identify with the angry but the idealist hero.Among the most successful blockbuster hits were  like Sholay, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Deewar
