Childhood:
Sarah Michelle Gellar was born on April 14, 1977, in New York City. In 1984, her parents got divorce, so Sarah was raised by her mother, Rosellen.
When Sarah was just 4 years old, she was discovered by an agent eating at a local restaurant. She appeared in a TV movie An Invasion of Privacy. And thereafter she landed up in many shows like Spenser: For Hire. She also appeared in a commercial for Burger King.

Career:

Gellar started her career with teen soap opera Swan’s crossing in the year 1992. After that she moved on to the long-running soap opera All My Children, where she played the conniving character Kendall Hart Lang, the long-lost daughter of character Erica Kane (played by Susan Lucci). She also received Emmy Award in 1995, for Outstanding Younger Leading Actress in a Drama Series. She left the role in All My Children and landed up into the lead role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The role made her a leading icon in the United States and the UK. She appeared in many commercials as well as soap opera that lend her more recognition.

Buffy became a big hit for Sarah and  appeared in two big screen success like I know What You Did Last Summer, Then the running and the screaming starts, with Sarah being most heinously butchered. Sarah secured two very different roles in the year 1999, In Simply Irresistible, where she played a bad chef in New York's SoHo, then she meets Sean Patrick Flanery, manager of a gourmet restaurant and many pranks follow, including her chasing the crab up his trouser-leg. It was an old-fashioned and fluffy but charming nonetheless.
And then in the year 2002 she casts in Scooby-Doo, a partial animation. Director Raja Gosnell was looking for a real-life couple to play Fred and Daphne, Scooby-Doo cost around $52 million and earned $54 million in the beginning itself. It crossed $100 million barrier in a week. Then she returned to more serious and sensible role in the horror with The Grudge, there she played a role of US student.
With more and more offer, she became one of the most admired stars on the planet. The girl is unstoppable and ready to command the world of entertainment industry.

Personality:

The most important and impressive thing about Sarah is her dynamic personality. Behind the sweet innocent looking girl, there exists a very ambitious and aggressive woman. She is well skilled with martial art skills. But she is just not restricted to this skill, her range of talents are so big. From acting and style she also attends the Professional Children’s School in New York City. She was once noticed as saying that her alternative career would have been journalism or children’s literature.
