Kobe Tai was born in Taipei, Taiwan on January 15, 1972 and was adopted by an American family. At that time, she ws merely a 5 month old infant. She spent her childhood in the sub urbs of Arkansas. At school, she was an average girl and was not a problem for her foster parents. Even when she was young, she was one of the most beautiful child in the neighbourhood. When she was 20 years old, she went to the University of Arkansas for further studies.

She entered the world of porn cinema in the year 1996 and became an instant successs in the industry. Initially, she worked by the name of  Blake Young and Brooke Young. But the name that proved lucky for her was indeed Kobe Tai. Tai has signed a contract with Vivid Entertainment and performs exclusively for them.

Her physique is small yet strong, energetic and graceful. She is evidently famous for her energetic performance which cheers her fans.

She has also starred in  The Man Show and The Helmetcam Show. Tai also did background vocals for Marilyn Manson's song, "I Don't Like the Drugs, But the Drugs Like Me", on the album "Mechanical Animals".

Though was linked to a number of her co stars but she cleared all gossips by finally marrying adult film actor Steven Scott. She divorced from her husband in 1999. after that she retired from the industry as she was expecting a baby but she made a comeback with Jenna Jameson in 2002 in the movie Jenna Loves Kobe.
