She can proudly boast of bagful of awards, prosperity and career she has. She is the first ever actress to get $20 million dollars for a film. Now a mother of twins Julia Robert has everything beauty, cuteness, talent and a million dollar smile. Just after attaining her motherhood Julia’s two blockbusters released in 2004.
Childhood
Julia Roberts was born in Smyrna, Georgia to parents Walter and Betty Lou. She grew up with her elder brother and younger sister. Julia finished her elementary, middle and college education from the same place. She graduated from Campbell High School in 1985. Her divorced father died of cancer in 1977.
Adulthood
Besides achieving such a great success, fame with her talent and beauty, Julia Roberts has gained the reputation of being associated with many famous personalities including former husband Lyle Lovett, Kiefer Sutherland and Dylan McDermott. She married cameraman Daniel Moder on July 4, 2002 and is happily living with the twins who recently came into her life.
Career and Achievements
Although Julia’s successful career and achievements can not be described in few lines, a small glimpse can let you be aware of the feat she has attained. One must have felt bewildered by the feat of becoming “America’s Sweethearts” by playing a hooker, but it was the role of an adorable prostitute in Pretty Woman (1990) that won Julia Roberts the appreciation enough to become a superstar. Julia Roberts, the younger sister of actor Eric Roberts first demonstrated her talent in 1988 girls coming of age comedy Mystic Pizza. However, her first film Blood Red, co starring her brother was made in 1987 but could not be released until 1990. Julia cast in TV’s “Baja Oklahoma” in 1988 and movies “Satisfaction” in the same year.
In 1989 a star studded blockbuster “Steel Magnolias” was released which cast Julia Roberts which earned an Oscar nomination to her. One year later she fired up the big screen with her sizzling performance in Pretty Woman (1990) co starrinf Richard Gere.
An intelligent choice of the films and commendable acting has always kept Julia on top. She starred in the hit films like Flatliners (1990) co starring Kiefer Sutherland and Kevin Bacon, the 1991 thriller Sleeping with the Enemy, co-starring Patrick Bergin and Kevin Anderson, and Dying Young (1991) co-star Campbell Scott, and 1991's delightful Hook, starring Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams. In the next few years some more films came such as “I Love Trouble (1994), Prêt-à-Porter (1994), Something to Talk About (1995), Mary Reilly (1996), Michael Collins (1996) and Everyone Says I Love You (1996).” In 1997, Julia appeared in a romantic comedy “My Best Friend’s Wedding”. More star rich films included Conspiracy Theory (1997) with Julia, Mel Gibson and Patrick Stewart, Stepmom (1998) co-stars Susan Sarandon and Ed Harris, Notting Hill (1999) and Runaway Bride (1999), which teamed Julia again with actor Richard Gere.
