Childhood:
Jennifer Ellison was born on May 30, 1983 in Liverpool, England. Jennifer Ellison nicknamed as Jen. She began singing and dancing at the very small age of 3.
When she was just 2 years old she screamed out that she would be famous one day while eating at local restaurant. Through out her childhood she gave various performances in ballet and modern dancing. She was so good that she earned national championships award for 1996 and 1997. Her accomplishments scored her stage work at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End. Throughout her childhood, Jennifer was dedicated to the arts and sang in many concerts. But her real love was dance and she became a classically trained ballet dancer. In her teens she secured a coveted place at the Royal Ballet School but by then her career had catapulted her in a different direction – television – and ballet was put on hold.
Career:
She started her career as a dancer and later on branch out her talents in acting. After several trials she finally won a lead role in British soap opera Brookside in 1982. There she worked from 1983 to 2003 as Emily Shadwick O’Leary, the sister of another cast member, Suzanne Collins. Jennifer also tried her hand at modeling and singing. She began her modeling career with Marks & Spencer "Relax At Home" lingerie line in the year 2002. Later on she came up with her debut CD through a contract with east West recording company. This contract generates the singles like Baby I Don't Care and Bye Bye Boy. Jennifer gave her first big screen acting performance in the year 2004; there she casts as Meg Giry in Joel Schumacher's The Phantom of The Opera. She is also scheduled to play a character in the film Hey Mr. DJ. After a long wait, this young and beautiful actress seems to have a very astounding future on screen.
Personality:
Jennifer’s sparkling personality made her a natural choice to be one of the celebrity contestants this year in ITV’s hit reality TV series, Hell’s Kitchen. Viewers voted her the winner, and say chef Gordon Ramsey said of her: "I have never seen a girl of 21 be so determined to absorb the discipline of the kitchen." That sums up Jennifer’s dedication to succeed. That coincided with Jennifer’s West End stage debut in the demanding role of Roxie Hart in the award-winning musical Chicago at the Adelphi Theatre. Audiences were wowed by the Jennifer’s energetic live performance and she played to packed houses. It was the perfect showcase for her singing, acting and dancing abilities. Her golden-brown wig and her remarkable American accent convinced many theatre-goers that a U.S born actress had taken over the role. But it really was Jennifer – eight performances a week for three grueling months. Jennifer also believes that anything can be achieved if you are determined for that.
