We are not naming the esteemed awards that one can bag for proficiency in acting. But we are naming the awards that actress Hilary Swank has bagged for her exceptional performance in the movie "Boys Don't Cry" in 1999. Yes, the lady bagged all the above mention major awards for her mind blowing performance. Boys Don't Cry was the movie that acted as a catalyst to give a boost to her normally paced career. It acted as a turning point of her career graph and placed the lady into the list of elite actresses and gave her international fame.

Other than this there are a number of good movies that Hilary has in her kitty. Some of them include The Next Karate Kid, Boys Don't Cry, Million Dollar Baby Insomnia, The Affair of the Necklace and many more.

Hilary celebrates her birthday on July 30, 1974. She was born in Lincoln; Nebraska whereas brought up in Bellingham, Washington. It was in her school that s came on the stage for the first time; it was in the role of "Mowgli" in "The Jungle Book." Taking this hobby of childhood as a career, Hilary started off with television and then moved on to the big screen. Hilary gave her big screen debut with Kristy Swanson's Valley Girl pal in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in the year 1992. as far as Hilary's conjugal life is concerned the actress is happily married to actor Chad Lowe since October 2, 1997.

 Both the actors are these days taking practice to play the real life role of parents. They are doing this by acting as parents and looking after a pair of parrots. Lowe admits that, for now, he's happy tending to the needs of SEUSS and ANGEL He says, "(Hilary and I) are very eager to have kids, and having parrots is great baby training."  Truly a strange way to get trained!!

Now this veteran actress is trying to come into the shoes of producer, her production debut is soon coming in shape of a creation named Charades". Now let us talk a bit about Hilary's future prospects. The proficient actress is busy shooting for her next movie that is named as "The Black Dahlia". The movie is scheduled to release in the year 2006. another project that the lady is looking forward to is "The Reaping", this movie is also slated for release in 2006.

This means year 2006 has a lot in store for Hilary and one thing is for sure that Hilary's fans won't get disappointed by what the actress has on offer. So let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!
