Charlize Theron is an actress with elegance, class and incredible sensuousness who can spellbind the public with her appearance and beauty. The “Monster” serial killer, stunning actress and model come into eyes of audiences when she appeared in the “2 days in the valley” where she had an infamous fight scene with Teri Hatcher. She has taken over the heart of her audiences with her performance in a number of films. The Devil’s Advocate, Reindeer Games, The Cider House Rules and Monster are some of them.
Childhood
Born in Benoni, South Africa a business family Charlize became a witness to a tragedy when her mother shot her father dead in a familial fight. She was looked after by her mother only. Though she was an inhabitant of rural area which lacked media of entertainment like television or movies, Theron developed the passion for ballet dancing. She used to perform Ballet in Johannesburg and later on got associated with New York’s Joffrey Ballet.
Career and Achievements
Charlize Theron was working as a model in Milan in her teenage and she won a local modeling contest also to earn some fame. After winning her first ever title, she flied to New York with high aspirations. Eventually her destiny got her to the place where there was everything Theron craved for in childhood. Theron was interestingly noticed by a Hollywood talent manager John Crosby who saw her throwing an impressive tantrum over the bank clerk fro some reason. He instantly offered her a future of elite film actress which Theron refused thinking that a stranger might take undue advantage of her. She approached crosby once she got assured of his reputation. Thereafter, she received a bagful of offers for doing television commercials. Theron was noticed in the Hollywood industry when she played Helga Syelgen in 1996’s “2 days in the valley”. Later She appeared in “The thing you do (1996)”, Trial and Error (1997), “The Devils advocate” and several others. But the film that brought her true recognition and stardom was “Monster” which won her Oscar.
Charlize Theron played the role of Candy Kendall highly acclaimed and Oscar nominated “The Cider House Rules” based on the novel written by John Irving. She starred in reindeer games with Ben Affleck in the very same year. The next one Theron played was the character of Adelle in Robert Redford's “The Legend of Bagger Vance’” with Will Smith and Matt Damon.
Fox 2000's Navy Diver with Robert DeNiro and Cuba Gooding, Jr., directed by George Tillman, Jr. In 2001 are some of other films Charlize has played roles in. She also appeared in James Grey directed "The Yards. This film was studded with stars like Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, James Caan and Faye Dunaway. Sweet November, 24 Hours and Miramax's Waking Up In Reno were released in 2001 in which Theron displayed her talent.
Love Life
Theron has been romantically involved with many famous personalities. She was dating Stephen Jenkins lead singer of Third Eye Blind, from 1998 to 2001. The band’s song “blinded (When I see you)” seems to have been written with Charlize in mind. She is currently dating Irish actor Stuart Townsend.
