Adriana Francesca Lima was born on June 12th, 1981, in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. The Brazilian beauty inherits her looks from the French, Portuguese, Native-American, and Caribbean heritage.

Career:

She was placed second in the World contest of the Ford Supermodel. This proves to be the stepping stone for her glamorous career. Just after a gap of three year she was signed by Elite Model Management. From there she began her modeling career and appeared for many brand like Vogue (Italy) in 1997, Vogue (UK), I-D (UK), Marie Claire (Brazil), and Vogue (Italy) in 1998. She also appeared in Vogue (U.S), Germany, UK) and Marie Claire (Italy) in 1999. These exposures drag her from the insignificance life to significant life. She became one of the wanted models in the industry.

Moment of glory:

One of the notable moments of Adriana’s catwalk was the appearance in the Victoria’s Secret summer 2000 swimwear catalog. She shared the stage with one of the supermodels of the world like Heidi Klum and Laetitia Casta. Apart from the fashion world she has also appeared in advertisements for Anna Sui Jeans, bebe, Gasoline, Mossimo, BCBG, Keds, Guess and XOXO.

But her most important appearance was in the Victoria’s Secret. It really propelled her career and fetched her lots of fame. She also appeared on the television in Victoria’s secret fashion show in 2001 and 2003. She makes her remarkable appearance in the short film like The Hire: Follow, with Mickey Rourke.
