Born on July 9, 1956, this Cancerian has a magnetism that is still enough to set the eyes rolling and pull huge crowds. This charismatic actor has proved himself a lot many times in his twenty five years long career, and is still on a spree to give hits after hits to his fans. This versatile actor got his first breakthrough role in He Knows You're Alone in 1980, and since then has been no looking back for the actor. He has given some of the mind blowing performances that helped him to reserve a special place for himself in the hearts of the viewers as well as the critics.
Finding some good movies out of a huge list of his mind blowing performances is really tough, but still some that are definitely needed to be mentioned are: Terminal (2004), The Lady-killers (2003), Catch Me If You Can (2002), Cast Away (2000), Forrest Gump (1994), League of Their Own (1992)… and many more.
Coming to Tom's personal life, one can say that Tom is definitely fond of his family. But unfortunately he could not enjoy the essence of a family as a child. His parents separated when he was real small and rest of his life he spent making adjustment. But his first wife was Samantha Lewes, whom he married in 1980; two months after their son, Colin, was born. Tom is a proud father of four loving children namely Truman Theodore Chester, Colin Hanks and Elizabeth Hanks.
Tom Hanks, who enjoys surfing, playing golf and hockey whenever he has some free time {which he rarely gets}, is these days working upon some of the worth watching projects. The actor is busy planning for the already announced movies that include The Risk Pool, The Da Vinci Code, The Great Buck Howard, A Cold Case. But to catch the Hank excitement in these movies you will have to wait, as they are scheduled to release in 2006. Another buzzword that is surrounding the actor these days is that he is all set to star in the British TV adaptation of Agatha Christie's fictional sleuth MISS MARPLE.
