Childhood

Elijah Wood was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on 28^th January, 1981. He was one of the children of Warren and Debbie wood. Elijah Wood has got an elder brother and a younger sister. Elijah’s acting ability was very much evident at his very early age when he started entertaining audiences. That was why Elijah Wood’s mother took him to Los Angeles for attending a convention of International modeling and Talent Association. From that point onwards Elijah kept getting some nice assignments which helped him emerging as an amazing actor.

Elijah Wood’s career began with some commercial and television assignments. His cinematic appearance started with the launch of his ever first major breakthrough, “Avalon” in 1990. Elijah Wood’s film career kept attaining the highs with his appearance in several other films that followed “Avalon.” Paradise (1991), Forever Young (1992) and Radio Flyer (1992) were some of the releases which gave Elijah the due recognition he deserved. The release of “The Good Son (1993)” was followed by “North” in 1994 which proved to be unsuccessful at the box office. However, Elijah and his performance were noticed by the viewers as well as the eminent personalities of Hollywood Industry.

 
Very soon, he received a role in a movie that was a remake of an old popular TV show Flipper. While doing this film he reclaimed his ability to display a powerful performance. Thereafter, Elijah worked in numerous films and appeared more strongly on the silver screen.

 
However, Elijah Wood’s ability to attract the audience was doubted by critics. But he proved them wrong and wrote out a new and impressive chapter of his career with his stunning performance in “Deep Impact” and “The Faculty” produced in 1998.

 
Elijah Wood’s some films done in 1999 could not be released on a wide scale. The biggest ever film Elijah worked is “The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy.
