The actor has a sister named Sara Suzane Routh who is a singer/songwriter, as well as a D.J on an Iowa radio station by profession. Brandon who had an inborn inclination towards acting brushed up his skills by associating with the Norwalk Theater of Performing Arts as a novice actor. He dropped out before graduating the University of Iowa that he attended as English major.
