50 Cent

50 Cent 50 Cent 50 Cent

50 cent is often called as the ideal Eastern hardcore rapper, and he has has been the centre of controversies and challenges, more  than any other pop star. 50 cent emerged victorious and now he is one of the most famous personalities in the world of music. When he launched his band in 1991, he had to face a big struggle.

He also had several attacks on his life but bravely survived them. Finally, he succeded in his field and was recognised in the circle. Eminem saw that it would be a profitable deal to joinhands with 50. They signed 50 to a seven-figure contract in 2002 and from that moment to now, 50’s graph has been consistently going up. 50 Cent’s childhood and his past experience was not very pleasant. He has seen all things: drugs, crimes, imprisonments, stabbings. He has also seen his life almost slipping away from him after he was shot point blank.

50 Cent has been associated with showing his well formed muscles and tattoos. His most unique accessory is his trademark bulletproof vest, pistol, and iced crucifix. He is also known for being greedy about guns, drugs, and wealth. 50 cent was christened as Curtis Jackson and raised in Southside Jamaica, Queens. 50 Cent did not had a stable support from elders when he was very young. His mother died when he was less than 10 years old, and then it was his father’s chance to desert him. He was looked after by his aging grandmother. He was lured towards his mother’s profession of hustling. But as he was arrested by police time and again, he realized that it was not the wise option to take. So, he turned away from crime and took to rap.

Jam Master Jay liked his work and signed him to his JMJ Records label. His track “How to rob” became a moderate success. It tells of 50’s ambition to rob particular big-name rappers. On May 24, 2000, just before Columbia was set to release Power of the Dollar, an assassin attempted to kill 50 shooting him nine times with a 9mm pistol while 50 was sitting in a car. When Columbia realized that 50 had become controversial, they backed out their plans of releasing his album and deserted him mid way when he needed friends the most.

50 cent did a number of mix tapes for which be came to hog the stardom. Some of them featured 50 and his G Unit companions rapping over popular beats (Raphael Saadiq's "Be Here," Wu-Tang Clan's "Ya'll Been Warned"), others mocked popular rappers (namely Ja Rule, who quickly became an arch-rival), and a few discussed his shooting ("F*ck You," among others).

Because of the popularity of his mix tapes, 50 Cent got a well known figure among public and the industry as well. Eminem also disclosed its liking for 50.  50 Cent became so well known that the company that once deserted him came back to him and there was a huge competition among various firms to sign 50 Cent. It was Eminem that finally signed 50.

Amid all this, 50 made headlines  in concern to Jam Master Jay's shooting in October 2002, and when he was jailed on New Year's Eve 2002 for gun possession. Many cover stories were written on 50 Cent and he became the favourite man of the media for a long time. But things have gone a little astray in 2005. On February 28th as the Game/50 Cent collaboration "How We Do" wasin progress, 50 announced the Game was out of G-Unit on New York's Hot 97 radio station. After this there was a fight between the two groups. At the same time, leaked copies of Get Rich's follow-up were available around the world on internet.
